The lower 15cm of your hair is very fragile which needs regular maintenance.

For the past 1 year that I've been with Headlines Hairdressing. They have been using Mucota products to treat my hair which has quite a significant improvement.

See the difference?

Definitely have to try it yourself to see the difference. Miracle doesn't happen overnight, however with Mucota treatments, it's definitely a route to healthier and glossy hair!

Teadot Cafe

Hello everyone!

Had brunch with two of my girlfriends last week at Teadot Cafe located at Westgate Shopping Mall.
Teadot is a tea cafe that which specializes in making unique tea drinks.

They do sell some brunch items, desserts and coffees too. Here's the menu.

The cafe has a very comfy and relaxed ambience. It is great for individual or even for some gathering with friends for brunch or high tea.

Here's what we ordered.
Left to Right: Little Red Fuji Frappe, Matcha Red Date Frappe, Caramel Black Tea Frappe, Yuzu Oolong Tea

Little Red Fuji Frappe has a sweet and pleasant fruity taste.
Matcha Red Date Frappe is similar to the normal Matcha Frappe, but it has a little Red Date aftertaste, which is kind of unique and something new for the taste buds.
Caramel Black Tea Frappe tastes like Caramel Milk Tea and is not too sweet, one of my favorite drink as it is not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness.
Yuzu Oolong tea is an icy drink with yuzu fruit bits. Usually Oolong tea taste a little bitter, so the yuzu add on a little sweetness to it.

All Day Breakfast
A wholesome breakfast consisting of turkey bacons, luxurious scrambled eggs, Portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, tasty German bratwurst and soft brioche toast.

Salmon Benedict
Soft Brioche toast topped with Norwegian smoked salmon and perfectly poached

Smoked Duck with Cranberry
Smoked duck with melted brie and cranberry sauce on toasted ciabatta, served with house dressed mixed leaf salad and crisps.

Egg Benedict
Soft Brioche toast topped with 3 layers of honey baked ham and perfectly poached eggs, enveloped in splendid hollandaise sauce.

The brunch items are very huge in portion which is good for big eaters as it is very filling. For me, maybe it is a little too big so I prefer to share it with my friends :)
For me, I ordered the Salmon Benedict as I'm a huge fan of salmon! The sauce they use is different from normal salmon benedict. It taste a very rich taste and is little sour. Egg is well cooked, not too watery or over boiled.

Of all the food we ordered, I like the Smoked Duck with Cranberry the most. At first I was quite skeptical about the combination of smoked duck with cranberry, but it taste quite good as the cranberry has a mild sweet taste which makes it kind of unique.

After our main course, we had desserts too!
We had saved a little space for desserts :X
Wild Jackfruit Cake. An exceptional fruit cake loaded with fresh, delicious jackfruit pulp.
Not the usual kind of cake I usually eat, but this is kind of special. The taste is not too sweet and has a jackfruit aftertaste. Really pleasant taste.

Praline. A decadent treat with layers of chocolate and praline, coated with rich layer of ganache.
I like this cake a lot! It is crispy on the inside, something like kit kat. The chocolate is not too rich too.

Overall it was a good experience. The prices are quite reasonable (average about $15 for main course) considering the fact that the portion are really huge. The tea drinks are really unique and it's a different kind of experience. It's a great place for gathering with friends for a chit chat session! :)

Anyway, would like to thank Kaysa for inviting us for the food review.

Definitely have to visit Teadot Cafe to try out their unique tea drinks!

Getaway to Batam - Nongsa Point Marina Resort.

Had a short getaway from the forever busy Singapore.
It was an impromptu trip partly because I had to clear off my leave from work.

We stayed over at Nongsa Point Marina Resorts' two bedroom apartment.
It has two storeys, a living room and a kitchen.

The beach at the resort is where the yachts park.

The water is actually much cleaner than what I had expected. It isn't clear blue water but still quite clear as compared to Sentosa.

We had lunch at their restaurant before heading over to Turi Beach for our activities.

Food wise, not that fantastic but that was the only restaurant available at Nongsa.
All the prices are actually in SGD, which I was quite surprised because I went all the trouble just to change to Rupia when we can actually paid in our currency. -_-

After lunch, we had back to our apartment to get ourselves ready for water sports at Turi Beach.
When we went over, the activities were fully booked and they close at 5pm. So we had to make a reservation for the next day instead and swim around the pools ):

Second day, we head over to Turi Beach for the activities!
I tried out the Parasailing and Jet Ski for the first time.
Didn't manage to take any pictures as I'm afraid it might drop into the sea. :/

After our activities, we ate at Nongsapura Teppanyaki Restaurant.

It's still alright, not that bad I would say. However it can be better.

The next day we left the place in the late morning.
There actually aren't much activities as Batam and most of the activities are closed at 5pm.
We wanted to go for massage but it was fully booked as well so be sure to make a reservation before you carry out your activites!

L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon

Dined at L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Restaurant at Marina Bay Sands awhile back.

It was opened by Joel Robuchon who was rated 3 Star by the Michelin Guide.
He actually have quite a few restaurants in quite a few different countries.

Initially we wanted to book during dinner time but it was fully booked, therefore we had the earliest available slot that we have, which was at 9pm. We had the chef to recommend us the food since we're not sure what would suit our liking.

We're all given this small cup of drink made of foie gras mixed with something else.
In my opinion, I don't like the taste but it was suppose to open up our throats/tastebuds for the main course.

Appetizer recommended by the chef. It was a salad

Mr. Ming had this for appetizer. Looks like a main course to me.
It's yummy and juicy I would say.

My main course!

Mr. Ming had this.

We didn't have time for desserts as it was already late and we had to work (and the kids had to go to school).

Overall I would say it was a different kind of experience.
It was really packed even it was on a weekday, late at night. We had to sit at the counter seats as there wasn't enough seats.
The chef and staff are all quite friendly. The area was actually an open kitchen concept therefore it was easy to communicate with the chef and ask for recommendations.

Ambience wise, it might not be suitable for couple dates as it is kind of noisy.
