DYNA Treatment Perm at Headlines Hairdressing

DYNA Treatment Perm (1)

Chinese New Year is coming! Time to get a new hairdo peeeeps!
It has been a while since I had went to a salon as I get really lazy sometimes because my hair is really damaged from dying my hair all the time. I think it has been about 3 years since I've gotten black hair!

If you have followed my blog you would have known that I had done a DYNA Treatment Perm about a year ago for an event.

I really like the DYNA treatment perm but not many salons in Singapore are able to provide. Recently I was contacted by Headlines Hairdressing and I am glad to be sponsored by them as they do provide DYNA Treatment Perm ! Yay!

Let me guide you through this post about it okay? (^-^)/

I book an appointment with Headlines Hairdressing last Sunday.

So I'm here at the salon!
Headlines Hairdressing is located at China Square Central mall which is about 5 minutes walk away from Chinatown station. Pretty convenient. (:

I was guided my hairstylist, Jerry Chua and he is a really friendly person. It was kind of a long process to get my treatment done and he tried to chat with me so I wouldn't be that bored. (:

I had my damaged hair trimmed away and my roots touched up as it wouldn't look good even if I have a nice perm. They used Matrix hair dye which is a high lift color which doesn't require any bleaching products to lighten your hair. Unlike those neighborhood salons where they would tell you it's impossible to get my current hair color without bleaching.

After getting my root touched up, we then proceed with the DYNA Treatment Perm.

DYNA Treatment Perm uses Argan oil as one of their ingredients to protect your hair as well as to moisturize and rehydrate your hair. It is also like a 2-in-1 process where you get your hair perm when doing the hair treatment at the same time.

Oh. Previously I did the "cold" perm method where no heat was used to perm my hair. It is more popular in Japan as they would usually use the curler to style their hair. I was told by Gary, Director of Headlines Hairdressing that the "cold" perm method gives me a more wavy and naturals curls which would not last very long in Singapore's weather. This time round I did the "hot" perm method where heat was used to give a more bouncy and longer lasting curls. (:

If you're wondering why there are some white pieces doing on my hair, it is to prevent my scalp from getting burnt by the heat (:

The process took about 4-5 hours to get the hair set in shape and my hair become really really smooth and the treatment smells nice too. (: No more frizzy and damaged looking hair!

Tadaaa~ My hair is done! Hehehe back to curly curly hair~ :P

Jerry taught me how to style it by demonstrating it to me and I tried styling my hair.
This was taken 2 days after the treatment. Not bad right? Really love my hair now~  *\(^-^)/*

I would like to thank Headlines Hairdressing for this sponsorship and the friendly staff throughout the whole process of getting my hair done. Special thanks to Jerry Chua, my hairstylist for this nice DYNA Treatment Perm. Now I can have nice hair for Chinese New Year! Hehe (:

Review: Biore Skin Caring Series Facial Foam

I'm back with another review (:

Biore has recently launched a new series of skin care product, the Skin Caring Series.

It comes with a facial scrub and 3 different types of facial foam to suit different skin types.
I have acne prone skin so I took the green on that is suitable for my skin together with the facial scrub.

Just a little background before my review.

The new Biore Facial Foam series has..
1. High Cleansing ability as compared to its competitors
2. Low irritation as cleansing chemical does not penetrate the skin
3. The first cleanser that works to re-balance the skin by reducing oil at the T-zone area (forehead & nose) and replenish moisture at the U-zone (cheek & chin)

Results shows that for people who used the facial foam for two weeks,
1. Their skin feels more hydrated
2. Lesser clogged pores and reduction in sebum
3. Lighten marks and blemishes

As for the Biore Facial Scrub, it is suitable for all skin types.
What the scrub does is it removes dead skins & dirt from our pores and also retains moisturize at the same time to keep our skin feeling hydrated. What is different from the other facial scrub is that Biore scrub uses ultra fine beads that is smaller than your pores to effectively cleanse out the dirts while not drying out your face which makes it suitable as a daily scrub.

Here's a comparison of both products.
Biore Facial Foam for acne prone skin (LEFT), Biore Facial Scrub for all skin (RIGHT)
The texture for the facial foam is more gluey while the scrub is more like those normal facial cleanser's texture. You can also see those tiny little red/pink beads in the scrub.

What I feel about the product is that I do agree that my skin feels more hydrated after using it for about 1-2 weeks and my clogged pores around my nose area has greatly reduced. However I do feel that my skin looks a little more oily which is bad for me because I already have oily skin that is kind of worst than average people.

As for the facial scrub, I do agree it can be used daily but the ultra fine beads does not really cleanse out my skin that well as compared to other products as they are too little beads in the scrub. It would be better if there are more beads in it.
Overall I wouldn't say I am very satisfied with the product but I do like the part where it prevents my skin from clogging as sometimes I do get clogged pores at my nose area really badly and it's so damn gross!

So yup, till then.

Storage box for hamsters?

As the title says, storage box can be used for hamsters!
Recently I changed to using storage boxes or I would say containers as tanks are really heavy to wash -_-
It is a pain in the butt to wash Mafia's tank all the time because it is so heavy to carry it and it takes so long to clean it up. Plus I really need to get a bigger house for my three little dwarfs (no names yet) as they're growing bigger.

Anyway, in case you might think storage box are ugly and attractive and whatever reasons you can give, take a look at this.

Actually there is another name for this. It is call bin cages.
Bin cages are DIY-ed storage boxes/containers where you can stack it up and connect them using those hamster cage tubes/habitrial tubes/whatever you call them. Photo below!

So basically you don't have to waste so much floor space to keep many hamsters.
At first I got to know about this I thought I would be like putting on a creative thinking cap to brainstorm all the designs I can make with this storage box for my cute little ones with the help of my dad. BUT! I was too lazy to get all the materials and I ended up using the box just to put my hamsters and accessories in and TADAAAA~ that's it.

So much for being so lazy.

Here's a photo of my little cutie pie (:

One of my whitey started losing fur which I thought he might be bullied initially. After doing some research I realized that the fur loss is caused by drooling as he is not used to drinking from the bottle -_- Right now he is recovering. So happy that his fur is growing back if not it might look so ugly that his buddies might start to attack him (just kidding~ hahaha)

The photo looks kind of scary so please don't scroll down if you're a kid. Hahaha

FYI, his natural skin is red so his skin is considered healthy from this photo (from what others say)

I'll end off with a photo taken together with bf and friends (DFC cliques)!
Everyone is making different faces hahahaha so funny.

OH and I will be doing a giveaway soon so stay tune people!

Happy New Year 2013!

Hello everyone!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2013!

Photo grabbed from some web. lol

So how did you guys celebrate new year? (:
For me, I gathered with my friends at Mr. Ming's house thinking that we would spend our countdown doing nothing but we decided to go to Neverland.
It was really an impromptu decision and we left around 11pm+ hoping to reach before the countdown and we did! If not we would have to count down in the cab which is really sad. Haha
It was really fun but no pictures as I did not dress up for it since I was working that morning.

I hope all of you will enjoy 2013 and get ready for your new year resolution! Hehehe.
Oh and is it too late? :X

Here's my new year's resolution for 2013!
1. Try to sleep early as much as possible
2. Save more money to go for overseas trip
3. Get a degree (if possible) if not, a full-time job
4... that's so far for now.

Oh and lastly, last long with Mr. Ming (:

In case you all miss me, here's a photo of me!

Alright, bye~!
